Silverstar walked out of her den into the dim sunlight. There was still work to do with the camp. She walked around camp looking around to make sure each den and cat was fit and ready for anything.

Riverkit hopped out of the nursery and into the sun, feeling happy to stretch out her legs. She purred with joy when she saw Silverstar. "Hi!" Said Rivermist.

"Just purrfect!" Riverkit prred playfully. "I wish I could hunt!" Said Riverkit, dropping hints.

"As soon as you are an apprentice you will go hunting. For now, maybe a mouse will stroll into camp." Silverstar meowed. She smiled. She knew the kit would be a great apprentice.

Riverkit spotted a mouse. "You were right!" Rivermist almost screeched, scaring the small mouse away. "Darn it!" Said Rivermist, all sad her prey got away.

Riverkit was leaping with joy! She may be leader some day. That was her dream. She knew that she had to get to apprentice then warrior, and deputy. After that was leader! Riverkit wanted to be an apprentice at that moment. 'One step closer.' She thought.
