"Good job, now for the rest of the day we will hunt for the clan." Silverstar meowed. She smiled warmly. She sniffed the air for any scents of prey. She even listened for the prey.

Riverpaw heard a mouse and got into her position. The mouse turned out of the bush and Riverpaw pounced on the small plump mouse.

"Good job Riverpaw. You are good at hunting." Silverstar meowed. She was hoping that Riverpaw would pick of the scent of vole. Silverstar could smell it and there was chance Riverpaw would.

Riverpaw caught the smell of the vole. She did the crouched position an pounced into the bushes coming out with the vole in her jaw.

"It's prey and you should be happy you have that much. If you were in Dawnclan we wouldn't let you talk about any prey like that." Lilystar growled at the apprentice. She then directed her attention to Silverstar. "I am sorry to interrupt you training. You may continue and I shall wait for you at your camp. I swear to Nightclan that I shall not hunt nor harm a single cat or prey on your territory while I am here." She meowed and began to walk to where she knew their camp was. "Take your time I ate and drank before I came." Lilystar told the other leader and began to walk again.

Riverpaw smelled a bird in a tree. She got into position again and sprang from the ground, just barely catching the bird trying to fly away.

she thought as she stared at the lifeless bird at her paws.
