Morningkit, bored, bolted out of the nursery, her fur on end, her eyes dilated. She was very playful and, as usual, extremely energetic. The ginger tabby kitten bounced around the camp, yowling, "Some cat play with me! Some cat play with me!" It was almost as if the camp was on fire or being invaded by DuskClan with the way Morningkit was abusing her lungs! However, neither of those were true, and Morningkit was simply a DawnClan kitten in need of entertainment. She was totally done playing by herself for that day, and hopefully forever, because this cat was social and had a loud mouth.

Littlekit was the opposite of Morningkit. She was shy quiet and didn't like to talk much and the runt of her litter so she was very tiny, and she wanted to be a medicine cat not a warrior.
She saw a kit that looked lonely very lonely. She padded slowly up to the she-kit. Um...I'll play with you , she meowed quietly looking at her with big secretive blue eyes.

"You will?" Morningkit mewed, looking up. She'd been quickly washing her pelt a bit, as she'd noticed it was very messy and she hadn't had time- okay, so she had a lot of time- to do it earlier. "What do you want to play?" Perking her ginger ears, the kit gave a suggestion, "Warrior, maybe? I'm going to be the best warrior this Clan will ever see!" It wouldn't happen, as no cat was really 'the best warrior' in a Clan, but should another cat dare to burst Morningkit's bubble, they'd feel the result, and they'd feel it quickly.

When Morningkit mentioed something about playing warrior she shuffled her paws. I don't really want to be a warrior. I want to be a medicine cat, she meowed quietly shuffling her paws again. She sighed. Morningkit was the first kit sh told that she didn't want to be a warrior.

Hawkpaw padded into the camp clearing. His claws ached from gathering moss earlier and he was just bringing it back to DawnClan. Bending his neck down he spat out the moss and released the moss that he had been holding under his jaw. Sitting down he flexed his claws in and out of his paws.

There was a lack of understanding, and the words definitely didn't click in. They didn't connect whatsoever. "W-well, why not?" Morningkit asked, tipping her head to the side. Her eyes clouded in confusion and her tail tip flicked, "I don't get it. Why would any cat rather be a medicine cat? Being a warrior's going to be great!" If she was rude, it was unintentional. Of course, medicine cats were important, and Morningkit knew that much, but she just never understood why any cat would rather be a medicine cat as compared to being a warrior. What was so great about healing others, anyway? A medicine cat used leaves to help their Clanmates, but why? Why be a medicine cat if you had the choice? Morningkit didn't comprehend any of this; she herself had always thought that hunting and fighting for one's Clan was the way. She'd not received any signs from StarClan saying she had to be a medicine cat, so why would she? She wouldn't.
The ginger tabby she-cat's attention was completely ripped away very quickly from Littlekit to Hawkpaw as the tom came in. He was not only much bigger than Morningkit, but he had just come from outside of camp, and he had moss! That was all the proof that Morningkit needed: This cat was quite obviously a warrior!
"Woah! You're a warrior, aren't you?! What's your name? Tell me, tell me, tell me!" Morningkit mewed, bounding over to the tom. She squealed in excitement and perked her ears, eagerly waiting for the answer that Hawkpaw would give. The she-cat's blue kit eyes were no longer clouded from confusion, as they had cleared and dilated in excitement, and the whole 'medicine cat' thing had been dropped from her mind.
