I use CS3. I prefer pictures that are bigger, this means I can resize them to fit. You can make bigger pictures smaller but making small pictures bigger results in a loss of quality. Therefore I've tried to find a picture similar to that you suggested.
I've made three versions of this signature. The first two use barn owls (the type of owl I guessed was in your suggestion) the third uses a great horned owl.
