[Smokepaw]

Smokepaw attempted to avoid contact. She had been an offical DuskClan apprentice for less than two sunrises and had already made enemies in the clan. Maybe not enemies, per say, but certainly not friends. It wasn't really surprising, after all. Most avoided her like the plague, avoiding eye contact and others, mostly the kits, stared and gawked and asked questions only to be ushered away by overprotected mothers. She had the uncanny ability to chase cats away.
"This clan life isn't as glorious as they portray it to be." She muttered to herself.
Smokepaw stretched herself out in the sun, right smack in the middle of the camp, watching cats cast accusing glares before looking away and walking off.
"I'm not lonely, I'm indifferent." She told herself for the seventh time that day. She ran her pink tongue over her chest fur and met yet another pair of cat eyes.

[Waterclaw]

"Smokepaw, come with me." Waterclaw said leading her apprentice to the apprentice's den. "Stay here." Waterclaw ran to the warriors den. "Rivermist, I'm going to take Poisepaw out with Smokepaw hunting. You don't have to come along with me."

[Rivermist]

Rivermist watched Waterclaw come into the warrior den. "That's fine." She said.

[Waterclaw]

"Okay, I'll see you later then." Waterclaw said to the warrior as she was going back to where Smokepaw was.

"Smokepaw! Go get Poisepaw, tell her we are going hunting. Rivermist isn't coming, I'm taking both of you out just for today.

[Smokepaw]

Smokepaw nodded somewhat involuntarily and poked her head into the apprentice den. Despite her irritable mood her voice came out pleasant and surprisingly bearable. "Posiepaw? Are you in there?"
